Our story
Coffee is heritage before it is a harvest.
In the mountains of Colombia, coffee is not just a crop — it is a family inheritance, passed down the way a language or a recipe is. Generations of growers have learned their land by hand: which slope catches the morning sun, when the cherries turn ripe, how the altitude sharpens the cup.
Mares Coffee exists to carry that heritage outward. We work directly at origin, choosing lots from farms that have kept the old varietals alive — Bourbon and Typica — and we bring their green coffee to specialty roasters around the world without letting the story get lost along the way.
Every bag we ship is a thread between a Colombian hillside and a roaster's table. That connection is the whole point.
